BMT (Black Man's Time) is a spoken word experience that turns the idea of 'rexlaxed' timekeeping on its head. We've reclaimed the phrase to celebrate the 'awesome everyday' stories of black men in the UK. Join Fusion, Doc Brown, Chris Preddie and Justin Marosa as they explore the theme of 'change' and its ability to transform lives - for better and for worse.

An exciting and experimental theatre piece which has been developed in conjunction with young mothers. The Baby Mama Drama showcases a collection of dialogue pieces, focusing on the daily lives of young parents and absent fathers. Led by actor/writer Libby Liburd and scriptwriter Jake Boston.

FT. TREVOR WATKIS + BYRON WALLEN + Jumoké Fashola

An innovative project by Trevor Watkis ft. specially composed live music in an intimate setting. Led by two of the UK's most accomplished jazz musicians, Trevor Watkis & Byron Wallen, with consultation from world renowned film composer David Arnold, a group of talented young musicians will perform an original soundtrack they’ve written to accompany short stories by New York Times Best Selling Author Edward P. Jones. Narrated by broadcaster Jumoké Fashola.

A group of Central Saint Martin’s visual art students have come together to create an exhibition featuring the mediums of film, photography and illustration. In celebration of National Storytelling Week their work will depict untold stories taken from controversial topics including immigration, gender transformation and depression.
